# SumoLogic

> Run log searches in SumoLogic.

Go to **Connections**, click **Connect** next to SumoLogic, choose your deployment region, and enter an access ID and access key.

## Permissions

The access key's role needs the Search and View Monitors capabilities.

### Search and monitors

Run log searches and read existing monitors.

| Permission | Used for |
| - | - |
| `Search` | Running log searches |
| `View Monitors` | Reading your existing monitors |

* Ordyn checks both after you connect by starting and immediately deleting a short search job and listing one monitor.
